Principal Responsibilities:
 
  • Travel extensively in the Gulf Coast to perform maintenance and repairs to various engines aboard vessels.
  • Troubleshoot and replace pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
  • Assist the Port Engineer on repairs to vessels on dry dock.
  • Visit vessels in operation for repair and preventive maintenance planning.
  • Work on-call rotation, ensuring coverage after hours and on weekends and holidays.
  • Perform other duties and activities as directed by VP of Engineering and Port Engineers.
 
 
Qualifications:
 
  • John Deere, Detroit, Caterpillar and/or Cummins engine experience, preferred.
  • Experience with Twin Disc and Reintjes gears.
  • Experience with HVAC and Electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of ZF Marine Z drive units a plus.
  • TWIC Required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record required.
  • Ability to travel.  (Company vehicle provided.)
